Ho pranzato in questa pizzeria una domenica di febbraio. Pizza molto buona, ingredienti top! Scelta molto ampia, dalle classiche alle gourmet più altre particolari. Ambiente tranquillo. Persobale ottimo! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Price per person: €20–30

Perhaps a couple of clarifying remarks are in order as regards the surcharge and the claim of verbal abuse made by the owner in his response to the review made by Daniela Oria. First, the 20% surcharge applied on the evening of our visit was not indicated at the time of reservation. As customers we find the practice of taking reservations for New Years Eve without mentioning the rather high surcharge of 20%, and communicating this to the customers only when they arrive very untransparent and questionable. At this point the customer is locked-in and has no alternatives, as it is not conceivable to find another restaurant anymore at that time, 8pm on New Years Eve. Other restaurants, which we had contacted, indicated clearly if they had an extra fee on New Years Eve, and that this extra fee included maybe a drink, live music and/or sweets etc. This is all fine, as it is transparent and the customer knows upon reservation what he/she is paying for. The most disappointing part of this is that the management of Forkette did not find anything wrong with adding a 20% surcharge after the reservation. In fact, their comments were more suggestive of thinking that it is the customers problem. Second, and importantly, there was no verbal abuse from the part of the customers. It is not verbal abuse to question the odd pricing practices of the pizzeria. We understand that the waitress decided to ask for the manager, as it seemed that she also had a hard time, and found it quite embarrassing, to explain the customers why they are surprised by a 20 % surcharge. The discussion was conducted in a civilized manner (at least from our part). We paid the bill and did mention our disappointment as customers. Finally, the pizzas were good and waiters nice, no complaints on these. However, given the attitude of the manager, we would not visit this establishment again.
