Direttamente sul lago, ottima cucina e servizio veloce. Consigliato! Un po' caro comunque c'è da aspettarselo vista la location.

The Fischstube, if you wake up in Zurich and it's a sunny day... even just a "decent weather" day, take tram 2 or 4 to the Froelichtstrasse and walk deep into the Chinese Garden. At the tip of the Zurichhorn, you find this extraordinary restaurant. It's cool, it's relax, it's something especial... It reminds me of Fort Lauderdale in the 1970's (I was only a child!) A most attractive host took me to my reserved table and the mist handsome waiters (beauty & brains) gave me a rather simple menu, with above average prices for Zurich but very accurate for the kind of surrounding and quality of the service and ingredients. I was thirsty... I order an Aperol-Spritz that would put into shame Harry's Bar in Venice! CHF 14.50 The Starter: being a fish restaurant I order the Prawn/shrimp cocktail but they served to the next table the best looking Rindstartar Mit hausbrot! Beef tartar, that was lust telling me: ORDER IT... EAT ME! A generous portion of tartar came. Maybe not as corse as I like it, but beautifully prepared. As I said I like spice, the brought a fabulous homemade chilly oil, excellent on its own but overpowering over the delicate flavour of the tartar. I think a mild and a bit garlicky chimichuri salsa would be more appropriate. Surprisingly enough, the lovely toast were the exact amount for the tartar... Even though the said that I could ask for more if I wish... I did ask for more to eat with the chilli oil! CHF 23.50. Main course: felchenfillet meunier, white-fish fillet in roasted almonds & butter, served with the creamiest celeriac pure, "mange-tous", white and purple cauliflower and steamed red radishes. It was succulent and delicate! CHF 38.50. With main course a glass of Zuricher Sauvigon Blanc! Excellent choice! CHF11.00 I really didn't have room for dessert... The chocolate cake and the strudel didn't appeal to me at all... But the crushed meringue with fresh strawberries and vanilla ice-cream dressed with red and black currants and blackberries was perfect for the hot day CHF 14.50 Total bill CHF102 according to Swiss tradition there's no need for tipping... But you can't help yourself to tip at least 10%! Like Arnie said: "I'll be back"
