One more voice for the opinion that Elisa Gelateria Trastevere is a complete scam. Unfortunately for us, it was the closest coffee place to our Airbnb, so we had coffee there a few times. And every time it was a complete disappointment. They are unfriendly and dishonest people. I don't even mention the huge (2.5 times) difference between the sitting and counter prices, but even at the counter, they charge a higher price for English-speaking people. The Italian-speaking guy and I both ordered the same coffee and both were drinking it by the counter, but he was charged 1 euro, and I 1.30 euros for it—the same with the pastry. The price tag for the small pastry was 2 euros, but I was charged 2.5 euros (again, eating it by the counter), and when I tried to ask why, the guy "smartly" forgot all his English, pretended that he didn't understand me, and gave me a long speech in Italian with an angry voice. Yack.
