As I only eat poultry, several people have recommended that I try the Chicken Burgers at Double R, which is the reference for Burgers in Yverdon. Quite popular, being that the place and small. It is absolutely necessary to book! First problem, our reservation for 5 people was not registered. (We had booked a week in advance). The waiter finds a solution and grafts us to a table where there were already 3 people let’s move on 2nd problem, the menu card and a completely torn, greasy and sticky old paper. Honestly I hoped that the kitchen was not at the level of the menu 3rd problem, I order my famous chicken burger so recommended and there, the pompom, the waiter tells me that they don't make chicken burgers... that it's the bar next door that does. While the friends I was with came 15 days before and the chicken burger existed. anyway next So, I ask if there is a salad and the server offers me if I want the burger bun with it?! Offer me to put my salad in the burger bun?! I laughed, but I laughed ;-) So, I told him that a small salad at 6.- would be fine and I stole 2-3 fries from my friends ;-) The story continues with the dessert on the menu there was a Moelleux au chocolat if I’m not mistaken and well there too when ordering there was none, or more and offered other desserts The only good point for me is the commercial gesture that the server made at the end, seeing all the hiccups since the beginning of the evening, offered us the digestive / coffee And I recommend the little Punch so good that we took a 2nd one.
