I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the restaurant Manhattan Café in north of Plainpalais neighborhood in Geneva, Switzerland. I had a pleasant lunch at this restaurant. To start, I enjoyed a green salad and avocado, which were served as two sides which I combined into a healthy appetizer. The green salad had a good sauce, and the avocado was fresh, ripe, and well-selected. For the main course, I chose the cordon bleu with poultry, accompanied by mashed beans. It was an interesting dish—well-seasoned and flavorful, though a little heavy on the cheese for my taste. It also leaned a bit toward the fried side, so perhaps a slightly lighter preparation would have been ideal. Still, it was enjoyable overall. The pricing was fair for lunch, offering decent value for money. The staff truly stood out—friendly, quick, and always smiling, which added to the positive experience. The location is excellent, conveniently situated near major tram stations, making it easy to get to. Overall, a good option for a quick and satisfying meal in Geneva.
