Bel balcone a 2500 metri su gran combin e massiccio del monte bianco, molto molto frequentato , una miniera d'oro con i prezzi svizzeri.....ci sono luoghi migliori per ritrovar se stessi....troppa gente per la mia anima

Our stay here was very nice. We are through-hiking the Haute Route and this has been the best mountain hut we have stayed in, thus far. We arrived very early and the refuge was open as was their kitchen. We had a snack and then lunch before the check-in that was at around 15:00. The food was very good. Good pastries and cookies. We had a hamburger and french fries for lunch. They had two beers on draft as well. Lots of families with dogs and kids. The hut seemed to be very accommodating to both. They even offer a high chair for infants. Wifi was good in the dining area and deck. It did not reach us in our second floor private room, but it did reach the first floor. I had no issues with loading short videos off social media. Did not try downloading video like a movie. We had a power outlet in our room and each bed had wall mounted hangers and a small shelf. There are separate bathrooms, toilets and showers for men and women. Regarding the showers, for 5.00 CHF you get a token, towel, soap and shampoo. The token is good for 2 minutes of water. However, you can pause the flow of water which stops the 2-minute timer. The water gets hot within seconds and the shower is very large. My only criticism of the shower is, like every other hut, there is no place to set your clothes. 2 minutes doesn’t sound like much but it was actually a lot of water since you can pause the timer. The staff was great. Those who’s English was as good as my French got help from other members of the staff to help explain details. We interacted with five different employees and they all were patient and helpful. The customer service from them all was very good. Service: 5
