Ate here with my brother and girlfriend after a long day and it SAVED US. Our plates were clean by the end of that meal. Highly recommend the Som Tam, the fried duck, all the specialty drinks, and mango sticky rice (one of the best I’ve ever had). Would come back if I wasn’t just visiting Basel but would recommend to all! We ordered 2x “pad thai vegetables” (vegan) home with planted chicken for 28.00 each and received naked noodles with a little soy sauce, a quarter of a lime and some peanuts. Neither vegetables, nor tamarind sauce, nor Korean or anything that could be associated with the dish Pad Thai. We assumed it was an oversight. But we were told on the phone that the egg had been left out because it wasn't vegan. Otherwise they were not willing to talk to us. Well, unfortunately the rest can't really be explained that way. If you can't offer a sensible vegan version for just under 30.00, you should leave it alone. Vegan cuisine doesn't mean leaving out all non-vegan content and selling the whole thing for the same price. I've eaten very well there many times before, but this was just ridiculous, very annoying and left me a bit speechless. Food: 1 Service: 1

Basically, even in the classic version, Pad Thai contains very few vegetables, mainly bean sprouts and spring garlic. What usually sets the dish apart is the tamarind sauce and the roasted flavors of the noodles. In the vegan version, however, it can seem a little different because the sauce is adjusted and the taste is milder. We offer many other vegan dishes that are richer and more exciting in terms of taste.
