I had the worst experience of my life at this restaurant. The older gentleman serving us was clearly a scam artist. After a long walk, we decided to have lunch, and ended up with a €220 bill. On top of that, he attempted to add a £20 tip without informing us. I ordered two glasses of Montepulciano, but he claimed they didn't have it and suggested a similar wine. I agreed, assuming it would be within the same price range, but was shocked to find the bill for just those two glasses was €44. To make matters worse, the wine he claimed they didn’t have was actually on the menu. When ordering, he recommended the steak, claiming they had Fiorentina for €19.50. We went along with it, thinking we were getting a great deal, only to find out the steak cost €78. It was incredibly tough, overcooked, and nothing like Fiorentina. I even called the server to complain before seeing the bill, and he gave a poor explanation about how the steak was cooked. This restaurant seems to work together to scam tourists. I’m extremely frustrated and wish I had asked for a refund for the steak I didn’t even eat. I have the receipt and would like a refund. This place is tarnishing the reputation of Rome. Tried to scam us out of 20 euros, beware we are not the only ones! On top of that they charge 17% service charge and then ask for tips in cash! Total scammers! Service: Dine in Meal type: Other Price per person: €10–20
