Nestled in the heart of the Jewish Ghetto, BaGhetto Pastry Bistrot greeted us like the Promised Land on our first morning in Rome—a perfect Thursday to kick off our adventure. The clouds parted just in time for our first sips of their heavenly coffee, as if it were all orchestrated to make us feel warmed & welcomed. We ordered croissants and a cherry tart, and let me tell you—absolute perfection. The cherry tart had that just-right balance: a tender, not-too-crispy crust and a cherry filling that was pleasantly sweet without going overboard. And those croissants? The bee’s knees for sure. They were the best we’ve ever tasted—shockingly, even better than those from the bakeries we visited in Paris. Moses gives his blessing to the cleverly named BaGhetto Pastry Bistrot Kosher, declaring it a true land of perfectly baked goods (with a hint of milk & honey). Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
