Went to Almadia Restaurant with a friend and made the mistake of ordering the “fish of the day.” The waiter said 1.9 would be “perfect” for two people — we didn’t know what that meant but trusted him. When shown the fish, it was already huge. We said so. He insisted it was the right size. It took over an hour to arrive and was absolutely massive — about five fillets each — dry, overcooked, flavorless, and barely edible. The fish alone cost €171. They knew we weren’t a large group, but still pushed an absurd amount of food on us. This place is a scam with terrible food. Avoid at all costs. Price per person: €100+

Mike, we are truly sorry your experience with us felt this way. That evening we proposed the fish and insisted it was right for two, and that was our mistake. It was not a scam, but a good faith error from a young team still learning. Unfortunately, the evening took a wrong turn and the result on the plate did not match what we want for our guests. We applied a discount, but clearly it was not enough to make things right. One unhappy guest is one too many. Please reach out to us directly, we would love to welcome you back as our guests, so you can enjoy the dinner you deserve and leave, as our guests usually do, with a big smile and your trust restored.
