Esperienza pessima – da evitare La nostra visita al ristorante Al Rustico è stata deludente sotto ogni aspetto. Il servizio scortese e la qualità del cibo inaccettabile: bistecca mai vista la griglia, piatti riscaldati al microonde e patatine ancora fredde all’interno. In un sabato sera il locale era completamente vuoto, un segnale chiaro della scarsa qualità offerta. Alla nostra educata segnalazione sul cibo, il proprietario ha reagito in modo aggressivo invece di accettare le critiche. Un’esperienza che sconsigliamo assolutamente. Dinner with family members, some from Turin, others from the United States. A couple was late (considering the weather and the alert in some regions, it could have been). The owner got impatient and was visibly irritated by the matter, even though the place was totally empty, excluding the four of us who had just arrived (shortly after, another couple arrived and no one else joined... it was Saturday evening) . The lady was kind and seemed understandable. I had read several reviews and the rude responses of the owners had horrified me, but for various reasons we decided to risk our fate anyway. The menu is varied, without any vegan choices, only some vegetarian ones. There are no fresh vegetable side dishes, only roasted potatoes. We choose the first courses and in the meantime my relative calls because he can't find the place. The owner asks me to pass him the phone and, after having silenced my cousin, he abruptly gives him the directions, and then closes by commenting "eh it would have been better if they didn't come at this point". At 9pm we are all at the table with orders placed. Unfortunately the food turned out to be even worse than the reception. The raviolacci with walnut sauce were inedible: the filling was cold and hard (frozen?), the sauce oily and bad, with an old taste. I didn't eat them, passing them to my partner who made a sacrifice. The gorgonzola gnocchi were the only thing acceptable. Then three cuts were taken: the two with gorgonzola arrived in full microwave style: with the gorgonzola cream in the "boiling" phase, the meat tough and full of fat, almost inedible. My cousin had to ask for oil to season his plain steak, which was dry to say the least. Two desserts were then taken. The tiramisu, a generous portion, looked like a chocolate sponge cake. But that's the least of it. Throughout the dinner, the owners stood behind us at the table, often him standing, making us feel uncomfortable. At the moment of saying goodbye, while it continued to pour, we spent a few minutes under the portico outside the restaurant... in a short time, the owner came to open the doors, showing himself to order us to leave. It was 10pm, again on a rainy Saturday evening. Mea culpa for not listening to the terrible reviews I read. I believe that catering work should be taken more seriously, because making food should be a passion, not just another way to slyly earn money at the expense of poor, unaware tourists. I absolutely do not recommend this place and in fact, TheFork would do better to understand who it is collaborating with. Parking: Parking just below the restaurant entrance. A little inconvenient place to reach, but not far from the main road.
