The staff is grumpy except for one person. Great to be greeted after a long journey with: “name?!” They hardly speak any English except for that one person. No one helps you with your luggage even though they don't have an elevator and we were on the third floor. From the terrace of the restaurant you have a beautiful view of the lake. Rooms: We were placed in the “family suite” on the 3rd floor. There are only skylights in there. There is no view. The ceiling is low. The bathroom is tiny. It is very hot and stuffy in the summer. The air conditioning makes a ridiculous amount of noise and does not cool the room. There are no emergency exits, no fire extinguishers, no smoke detectors, no floor plan. The entrance is a tiny hall with 4 doors that get in each other's way. There is no elevator. Nearby activities: The Verzasca River is beautiful and has many beautiful places to cool off. The dam is impressive. There are beautiful medieval bridges and beautiful walking routes. But without a car you can't really get anywhere. Safety: There are no emergency exits, no fire extinguishers, no smoke detectors, no floor plan. The entrance is a tiny hall with 4 doors that get in each other's way. If a fire breaks out there, you and your family will be trapped like rats. Very dangerous! Walkability: You can't really go anywhere on foot. It is located on a road that is often very busy. Food & drinks: The food is not bad but not surprising either. It is quite expensive. Rooms: 2 Service: 1 Location: 4 Hotel highlights: Great view
