Amazing food ,friendly service. First time having injera and my spouse and I really loved it. We got the doro wat and got lentils too so it was awesome. Would definitely recommend and will visit anytime we're in Basel. The chicken was wonderfully cooked and spicy which we really appreciate. Portions are generous as well. Parts of the food reminded me of south Indian food (in a good way!) Price per person: CHF 20–30

What delicious and authentic Ethiopian food! I had the veggi-mix platter and my mum had the Azifa (lentils with onions, ginger, tomato, and olive oil). With plenty of Tef injera for scooping, one bite was yummier than the next. We are so grateful to have stumbled upon the Markethalle, and even happier we chose to eat at Abyssinian. We will be back!!! Price per person: CHF 10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian options: At least four!!!
