AIR Restaurant at Zurich Airport was recommended to me by a Singapore Airlines pilot, which was probably enough endorsement to make me curious. The aviation theme is very well done, with the space feeling almost like an airplane-inspired food court rather than a conventional airport restaurant. It fits perfectly with Zurich Airport’s wider enthusiasm for aviation and makes the venue especially fun after spending time at the observation decks and viewing areas. The food itself was more so-so than memorable, but the setting carried the experience. It is spacious, distinctive, and genuinely enjoyable as a place to sit for a while and watch the airport world go by. I would probably return more for the atmosphere and novelty than for the meal itself, but as part of a wider Zurich Airport visit, AIR Restaurant is a very nice stop and certainly more interesting than the average airport food court.
