The beef tenderloin was tender, juicy, and flavorful, complemented by the Colle d’Arra Merlot—rich with berry notes and smooth tannins. The Stracciatella dessert was a creamy, chocolate-flecked delight. Excellent ambiance and service. The owner’s warm welcome made us feel at home, despite being far from South Carolina. We just had the most amazing dinner at West-End! The owner is welcoming and walking around during dinner to check on things and take orders. Our meals were fantastic. Mushroom risotto (owner picked the mushrooms this morning!), two veal dishes both prepared so well and with wonderful flavor, and last the homemade gnocchi with meat sauce. So good! We ordered a fried fillet of perch that we found to be extremely salty. We asked an old male waiter (probably the owner) whether it was possible to have the kitchen to remake the fish. He told us this was how fish was made in Europe and he took away the fish and said “If you don’t like it, I will take it away, byebye “ I was left in shock and he brought back the side of the fish (risotto) and continued charging us the dish. Lastly, the restaurant was full of flies (See the photo below). would not recommend for those who care about hygiene Definitely one of the worst experiences I’ve had in a restaurant.
