I really loved my visit. Food was Fire ! Roasted cabbage dish ... chef's kiss. Pancakes ... chef's kiss. Avocado Toast and perfect poached egg on sourdough toast ... yes! Coffee delicious. Lovely lovely staff. So nice! Spacious and bright, yet cosy feeling. Ohh, and the New York style cheesecake was perfect! Loved it! Will visit again soon. This wasn’t our first time at Ela Eatery and that says everything. We keep coming back and each visit reminds us why. The cabbage with tahini is still the standout. I do not usually order cabbage but this dish is on another level. Perfectly cooked full of flavour with creamy tahini that brings it all together. It is one of those plates you order again even when you tell yourself you will try something new. The service has been amazing every single time. Friendly relaxed and genuinely attentive without ever feeling pushy. You feel looked after and never rushed which is exactly how brunch should feel. At this point it is officially our regular brunch spot. Basel has plenty of good options but this is the one we trust. Consistently excellent food great atmosphere and a team that clearly care.
