Went to Zermatt Kebab Haus for the first time with a bunch of colleagues during lunch. We were just looking for something solid to eat, and agreed on kebab. Honestly, I didn’t expect much when we walked in—the place doesn’t exactly scream modern or cozy. Not rundown, just pretty plain. Functional. You’re not going here for the aesthetics. I ordered a Taschenbrot mit allem, scharf and an Ayran. Cost me 15.50 CHF, which isn’t super cheap, but in today’s economy, that’s pretty valid. Especially if the food hits—and oh man, it did. The taste was amazing. Like, unexpectedly good. Proper balance of spice, freshness, texture—every bite was just right. Easily a solid 8.5/10, maybe even a 9/10. The kind of food you think about later and go, damn, that was good. Now, about the wait: yeah, it was busy. Lunchtime rush, whole town out to eat. But even with the crowd, waiting time was surprisingly fast. They handled it well. The guy making my Taschenbrot was pretty funny too, cracked a few jokes while working—staff was chill, friendly, and welcoming. Overall? Highly recommend if you care about flavor more than fancy decor. Zermatt Kebab Haus knows how to deliver where it counts. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3
