We were looking forward to visiting this tea house since it was close to our hotel and had great online reviews. The posted opening time was 9 AM, but when we arrived, the owner told us she actually opens at 11. No problem—we came back later. When we returned, we just wanted to order tea. However, the owner said that if we wanted to sit in the main seating area, we also had to order food. She offered us a table in the front instead, which we accepted. Unfortunately, for a tea house, the tea itself was disappointing—overly sweet, and one of the teas seemed like it came from a pre-made plastic bottle rather than being freshly prepared. While we were sitting, another family came in and also just wanted tea. The owner told us to move so they could sit, even though we had a small child who was already settled. In the end, that family decided to stay and order food, so we didn’t have to move. The tea was served in round glasses without napkins, and when our daughter accidentally knocked over a glass (due to its unstable design), the owner loudly told us to get up. She was also openly rude to her staff. I understand cultural differences and have traveled extensively, including throughout Asia, but this was simply an uncomfortable experience. If you have children—even well-behaved ones—I wouldn’t recommend coming here. The atmosphere felt unwelcoming, and the tea was not worth the visit. I recently stumbled upon this awesome Chinese food place called Yun Nan Tea House in Lucerne, and man, let me tell you, it was a total flavor explosion! The moment I walked in, the whole place was filled with these amazing aromas of spices and herbs that got me drooling right away. The place is pretty small and cozy, giving off those chill vibes. It was also decorated beautifully with various chinese artworks and teapots. But what really made the experience special was the super friendly and welcoming service. The staff was top-notch, always there with a smile, and they knew their stuff when it came to the menu. Now let's talk about the food, oh boy!
