Approved by a very picky critic: our 3-year-old son. We stumbled upon this place on our way back from a day in Alpstein, we’re Chinese from the US and were craving for some rice and this turned out to be one of the best spontaneous meal decisions we’ve made. If you’re driving here, skip the stress and just use the Coop parking lot nearby — it’s only a minute’s walk and makes life much easier. We didn’t try the sushi, but came for the Chinese dishes and were genuinely impressed. Red curry was on spot, Shui Zhu Niu isn’t exactly what I expected but was amazing nonetheless especially considering the lack of certain ingredients here in Switzerland. But importantly, That elusive, smoky, wok hei separates real Chinese cooking from the imitation stuff. These guys have it, and that alone earns major respect. Price per person: CHF 60–70 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
