Incredible Hospitality & Custom Berner Platte at Vieux Villars We had the most amazing experience at Vieux Villars, where they went out of their way to custom-cook a Berner Platte for us. This isn’t something they normally have on the menu, but they made it happen—and it was absolutely delicious. The platter was everything we hoped for: smoky, tender meats, hearty sausages, perfectly cooked potatoes, and flavorful greens & sauerkraut, all served piping hot. You could taste the effort and authenticity in every bite. The service? Impeccable. Friendly, welcoming, and genuinely happy to accommodate our request. They made us feel right at home, and that kind of hospitality is rare. If you’re in Villars-sur-Ollon and want a real taste of Swiss comfort food, this is where you go.
