One of the best coffees in Geneva. Service could improve as you have to order in the front and sometimes the staff is not super friendly. But amazing ambiance. Service: Dine in Meal type: Other Price per person: CHF 1–10 Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4

Good coffee, but the lady who took my order did not behave professionally. Pity that the owner of the store did not witness the exchange, which was not tense but included in my view an unpleasant response from the bar lady. Basically, I arrived and say: "Bonjour"; she replies (giving me her back): "Je suis avec vous dans deux minutes". I then say: "un café latte svp"; she replies, again: "je suis avec vous dans deux minutes". I say "Oui, j'ai compris". I ofc did not want her to prepare my coffee immediately, as she was preparing another one, but repeating twice the same thing, as if I had not listen, was not right in my view, at least not the treatment I expect as a client. Only this has made me decide to go to a different coffee shop from now on (I work nearby). Pity because the coffee is good.

Avoid! The food is pre-cooked and then reheated, so it comes out both burnt and cold!! Complete misrepresentation of the food that's on the menu... they give you pre-made hard boiled eggs and claim you're getting poached eggs, the pancakes are also burnt and soggy! When I complained the response was "that's just how we make it here", and frankly the staff were just rude and unhelpful. The whole experience was terrible. There are plenty of nice places to go for brunch in Eaux-Vives; I would recommend Hunch or Marcel, but absolutely avoid Utopia (Eaux-Vives)! This was actually my second time visiting... my first experience wasn't great but I wanted to give it a second chance as it's one of my local brunch places and sometimes things just don't go well, but after this time I most definitely will not be returning! ****Addition After Utopia Response**** Since I am unable to reply to your comment, I wanted to add that I did try and ask for the situation to be rectified in person - TWICE. After I was initially told "that's just how we make it here" I continued to try and get through the meal to make the most of it (given I had paid for it and it was my birthday), then the couple sitting next to me explained that they cancelled their order for a full refund as they were unhappy and suggested I ask for a refund too. I went to do this and was told I couldn't get a refund as I had already eaten some of the food... keep in mind I tried complaining earlier and was told he wouldn't change anything. He then tried to offer me a cake of some sort as "compensation", at this point we pointed out that there was a hair on the cake!! He added that's gross and that was the end of that. It's very disappointing to see a small local business treat customers this way and then only want to find a "satisfactory solution" once you receive a bad review. As mentioned previously this is my second bad experience with your establishment, which is why I felt I would let others know. On this occasion I would like to pass on your offer. There are plenty of great places around Geneva that treat customers well. I wish you all the best and hope this helps improve the experience for your future customers.
