Chicca is an exceptional host, fun and knowledgeable about the history, food, and local products. We first met her in 2017 and have come back for more! We can highly recommend both the food tours to the villages nearby as well as the cooking classes in her home kitchen. Stay in the lovely two-bedroom apartments on her property, and you can do it all. (For more of our recommendations in this area, you can search "Intentional Travelers Etruscan Coast")

We joined Chicca's "Bolgheri Food & Wine Tour" and had a great time. It was a true pleasure to get to spend time with her... because her knowledge, love, and passion for all things Tuscany was evident from start to finish. The morning was spent on a wine tour (with lots of fascinating history to explain the evolution of wine making in the area... and ending with a tasting of some terrific wines), followed by several stops at local restaurants for tastes of traditional dishes (and even MORE wine, LOL!), and ending with gelato (the best we've had in Italy!!) and coffee. Chicca was the glue that brought everything together, filling in details to paint an enticing picture of life in Tuscany. We highly recommend this tour!

Loved taking this food tour with Chicca! We enjoyed four courses, four wines (three reds and a rosé) plus espresso. Chicca was able to accommodate a gluten-free version of the tour as well so I didn't miss out on anything. Would definitely recommend as one of the best ways to experience Tuscany.
