Keep walking. Nothing to see here but trouble. We weren't that hungry but wanted to keep the fun meter pegged with the kiddos, so we opted for a cheap little street dining at this lower class establishment. Run by non-Italians, the menu fare seems flash-frozen. We ordered spaghetti bolognese at €9/plate, pizza diavolo at €9 and a chicken and mushroom plate at €11. The pizza came out looking like a cheap frozen cheese pizza with a couple of pepperoni on it. The spaghetti was linguine, and the chicken was meh. What really got me, though, was the 1/2 litre of vino rosso for €9. What a rip off. We ate later at a €€€€ restaurant that only charged €7 for much better vino. Water was €2,50 per litre. Even given the Venezia markup, I was still a little torqued that I had to shell out €52 for about a €30 value. There was no charm to this place but it certainly charged for it without giving any food worthy of returning.
