I’ve been a loyal customer of Tchibo for the past 13 years, both before and after the renovation. I thought I’d leave a note since reviews are such valuable tools for both management and customers. Overall, I’ve had a wonderful experience with no major issues. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the tea selection is exceptional—definitely a step above what I’ve seen at Migros. Recently, I tried the pumpkin spice latte. While it didn’t quite stand out for me, it’s a minor detail in an otherwise enjoyable visit. The staff are generally accommodating and pleasant, and I’d like to give a special mention to Maja , who is truly fabulous! She brings such warmth and understanding to every interaction. Berin and Ludmilla are also lovely and helpful, but I don’t feel the same level of connection or ease with them as I do with Maja. For instance, during my recent visit, I had a small interaction with Ludmilla that left me feeling a little uncomfortable. While she did provide the necessary service and was professional, I felt as though my basic barista requests—such as asking for a bit of hot water—might have come across as bothersome and annoying . This could simply be a language barrier, as my German isn’t as strong as my English, but I did notice a difference in her demeanor and expressions with another customer. Please understand this as a *gentle and constructive* feedback. I fully appreciate the challenges of working in customer service, having years of experience myself, including time in a café environment. That’s why I believe it’s so important to lead interactions with kindness and heart. Small gestures can go a long way, especially in creating an experience that leaves customers feeling welcomed and valued. After all, kindness is costless but priceless, and it can make every cup of tea or coffee a little more special.
