Una ottima cena in una autentica Konoba croata. Personale accogliente, piatti deliziosi ed abbondanti. Ci torneremo sicuramente tra un paio di sere per gustare altre prelibatezze. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We stopped here during a hike from Hvar town to Stari Grad along the old Napoleonic road, and it was a perfect break from our trek. In the town, we were obviously a little turned around so a nice woman gave us directions and advised us that we must have cake when we ate at the tavern. The tavern itself has a wonderful outdoor seating area where you can get shade and enjoy the breeze. It seemed like it was run by a father and son, who were both very friendly.The menu had some good options foor vegetarians, and a nice cold beer helped ease the aches from hiking. The food was great and the service was excellent. The wood oven is situated just across the laneway, and it was fun to watch the activity there while eating. After our entree we mentioned that we were told to have cake, and we were not disappointed. We picked lavender cheese cake, and it was absolutely amazing. Afterwards we practically bounced the rest of the way up the mountain for the long climb down to Stari Grad. If you are looking for a break from Hvar, Tavern Zbondini is probably only a 10-15 minute cab ride, and is totally worth it. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
