Stopped by in the late evening to pick up some pizza/lasagna for takeout. Staff seemed disinterested. Only a couple pizza options remaining and they had been sitting there for a while. The lasagna tasted like it had gone bad so we didn’t eat it. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CHF 10–20 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

We are sorry to hear, that the staff was not motivated, we apologize.Late eventing, before we close, we are not preparing new pizzas anymore, as we would have to through them away if not sold. Everybody talks about avoiding food waste and if it is done, then the guests are not happy either. We however understand that you would have preferred a bigger choice. If you’re looking for a quick and satisfying Italian bite with a beautiful mountain backdrop, Take Away 191 is absolutely worth stopping by. The prices are very reasonable, especially for the quality of food you get. The menu is simple and focused — mainly pizza, lasagna, and a few appetizers — but honestly, they do it well. One thing I really liked is that you can order either pizza by the slice or a whole pan, which is perfect depending on how hungry you are. We tried the salami pizza, sausage pizza, and a slice of lasagna, and loved all of them. The pizza had a delicious crunchy crust, while the lasagna was perfectly balanced with sauce, meat, and cheese without being overly heavy. The restaurant itself is small, with only a couple of standing tables and a few chairs for dine-in guests, so it’s definitely more of a grab-and-go spot. They also don’t have AC, which could make the dine-in experience a little more comfortable during warmer days. But considering the name is “Take Away,” it’s clear the concept is more focused on takeaway meals rather than a full sit-down restaurant. Still, the combination of tasty food, affordable prices, quick service, and the scenic mountain surroundings makes this place a hidden gem for a casual meal. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Many thanks for the great fotos.You are absolutely correct, that place is a "take away" and not a restaurant to sit in. The restaurant/pizzera for up to 150 persons is located in the building just to the right, the "da Salvi", belonging the same owner families.We hope you will return to Grindelwald in the future and then visit either our "take away" again or then our italian/swiss restaurant da Salvi, located in the neighbour building.With best regardsPonzio family and staff
