Shortly after arriving in Zurich on the 16th April, drove the 30 minutes from the airport to the wonderful Restaurant Das Taggenberg (just outside of Winterthur) where the charming Filip Strobl and team welcomed and took great care of us despite arriving 20 minutes late. They even kept the kitchen open well past lunch time to allow us to enjoy their Apfel desert de jour brought to the table by the Head Chef. Lovely warm homely ambience, quality food using in season vegetables (asparagus) and locally produced and sourced ingredients. A thoroughly enjoyable meal washed down with a bottle of local beer. When we visit Switzerland again, hopefully in May, I will absolutely do the 5 course surprise dinner menu (with wine pairing of course!). Order type: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: CHF 100+
