If you like a good story and great food this is your place. It's a family run place where attention is paid to every detail. Cakes are very tasty and home made (I saw the lady picking eggs from the back garden with chickens) and coffee is very good. The atmosphere is built around an excellent combination of saved old furniture and equipments combined with functional new pieces. It may be a bit tricky to get in (after all it's not mass visit place) as it's in the back street and you need to ring mechanic ring at the door (yes, there is one, just try). Lady running the place lives in the village for over 20 years and you can easily communicate in Croatian, German or English. They also have some quite nice place to stay overnight but as it's not primary part it's not promoted on large platforms. ... All in all, I'm usually a bit sceptical about "authentic" places with story (I prefer large soulless places) BUT this one in Aljmaš is really amazing. It's a real thing.
