We ended up at Strazzaria rather by chance and were impressed by the quality of the pizzas. They were definitely the best pizzas in Venice. The crust was well cooked even with lots of toppings, with no soggy spots. The spiciness and seasoning were never overwhelming but perfectly balanced. And this is our second time in the city. The service was prompt and very friendly. I'm not getting paid for this, but go there and eat a pizza. You won't regret it. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €20–30

We thought we'd happened upon a gem, given the high average star-rating, and the fact that this was a stone's-throw from our accomodation. The attitude felt a bit off from the beginning, feeling like we'd inconvenienced them just by arriving. Might have been understandable if the place had been busy, but it wasn't. This was compounded by being placed at the bar to eat, despite there being tables available that never filled in the time we were there. And this was further compounded by feeling rushed by the waiter who continually reached over us to hurriedly clear away our cutlery holder, and other bits and pieces. The pizza was okay. Flavourful, but a little soggy/doughy in the middle. Felt like perhaps our faces didn't fit. Maybe just not a place that's enamoured with tourists? Edit: After recieving your response to this review, I can only conclude that the passive aggressive nature of it and the lack of acknowledgment means you don't take criticism well. Ci dispiace non abbiate apprezzato quelli che sono tra i posti più ambiti da chi frequenta la pizzeria, al bancone fronte barman. Alla prossima volta, magari con la prenotazione per un tavolo tutto per voi.
