For years I have driven past the Hotel Sternen on the way to Ticino. Now I finally stopped to try the chicken in Chörbli. That was a very good decision. The hotel is run by a nice couple who looked after us very attentively. The chicken in the Chörbli, which I had been craving for years, lived up to my expectations. Instead of serving the traditional butter-based sauce, the new owners have polished things up a bit with a hot or extra hot sauce. The extra hot sauce (European hot, as they say in the gastro) is not so hot that it numbs all the taste buds on the tongue. It goes very well with the crispy fried chicken and you can believe me when I say that the chicken was extremely crispy. The atmosphere is casual and familiar. This is probably also because there aren't that many local residents in Siskon and I therefore had the feeling that I was in a place where everyone knew everyone. The access to the hotel is easy as it is located directly on the main road. The problem is more likely to be driving away again when the road is busy on both sides. It's almost impossible to get out of there without outside help. I will definitely stop there again and treat myself to a crispy and juicy chicken at Chörbli when I go to Ticino again. I highly recommend it. Try it out if you're in the area.
