My wife and I are from Seattle and spend a lot of time at local breweries here, so finding St. Laurentius on our last day in Switzerland felt like a lucky break. It has that US-style brewery vibe (we heard Bruno Mars playing on the speakers when we walked in!), but with proper local Swiss beer and food, which is a brilliant combination. The beers were excellent and the food was incredible. I had a wiener that was delicious. You can tell they really care about what they’re putting out, not just the beer but the whole experience. Big shoutout to Robin. He chatted with us when he could and was super friendly, easy to talk to, and clearly knew the beer choices inside out. He recommended a few of his favorites and every single one was perfect. He also talked with us about his travels in the USA, among other things, which made the whole evening a lot of fun. It didn’t feel like a typical order-and-go place, more like just having a great night at a brewery with good friends. It really reminded us of the kinds of breweries we love back home in Seattle, just with a Swiss twist. Perfect way to end the trip. We will absolutely come back on our next visit. An amazing hot dog and a very atmospheric place. We stopped there while driving around Zurich on our way to the Grindelwald Valley, where we go skiing, and decided we wanted to grab a delicious craft hot dog. We found the place along the way and decided to stop in. We definitely don’t regret it. There’s also a brewery on site, although we didn’t try the beer. It looked very tempting, but since we were on the road, we decided not to. Overall, we highly recommend it. Parking can be a bit of an issue, but you can always park at the shopping mall located directly opposite the place.

Hazy IPAs, my absolute favorite beer style, is usually available in this customer friendly Brew Pub. Burgers are excellent. Everything a bit pricy but quality and atmosphere are certainly not disappointing. What I would like to recommend is more effort on good music, why not more Country Music through a reasonably good sound system - I think your guests would love it too. Cheers and keep going with your excellent crafted beers, especially with the IPAs!
