We loved our stay at the hotel. What we liked: - nice and spacious apartment with great balcony - beautiful hot tub on the balcony - 5 star breakfast delivered in the room at a chosen by you time - calm village, really close to Bolzano - ideas for daily hikes What could improve: - the quality of the pillows - instructions for English speaking people (it is a hotel however some services were limited compared to other 3/4 star hotels) Overall, as first time visitors of South Tyrol we definitely loved the region and next time we will arrive with our car as this will most definitely change our experience as public transport is available but not very helpful to explore.

I spent 14 days at the Sonnleiten Dolomiten Residence with my children. It didn't feel like we were on vacation. It was like spending time together among friends. I think that's the big advantage when an apartment hotel is only so big that the owners and operators can take care of all guests individually. And so it was. Andreas and his wife Esther cared intensively. They were available at any time, whether it was about excursion tips, sauna reservations or breakfast service. As an electric car driver, I appreciated the charging stations with high charging capacity and the opportunity to charge for free, at least during our stay. I think the latter will change in the foreseeable future given the rising energy costs. Regarding the "Classics" - the apartments (we changed once) are outstanding. I was concerned about the size but for 3-4 people even the smaller units are really sufficient. This is due to the almost perfect cut of the apartments. The beds are great. The kitchen and living area are comfortably furnished with fine materials. All apartments have a theme and are very, very child-friendly with one or two gimmicks. Speaking of children - it was never loud or disruptive even though the house was full. I stayed there with my 20 year old daughters. The view from the balcony with whirlpool is breathtaking. Almost every evening we enjoyed the spectacle of the sunset in the mountains over dinner. Always the same and yet different. The location of Sonnleiten is ideal. Bolzano is 14 km away. Meran with all its attractions just under 40 km. Lake Garda is easy to reach for a day trip. But everything is topped by the expressive Dolomites, regardless of whether you are standing in front of the Geisler group, hiking in the rose garden or exploring the Alpe di Siusi, as the pictures impressively demonstrate. Anyone who is planning an extraordinary holiday in a breathtaking environment, loves good food, wants mostly good weather and appreciates a very personal atmosphere cannot ignore Andreas, Esther and their kids in their Sonnleiten. Can pictures lie?
