Visited Seven Village - Seven Beach for lunch recently. On the positive side, finding free parking was fine and hassle-free even in the busy lunch time. However, the service and quality left a lot to be desired. Despite the restaurant not being fully occupied, the order progress was remarkably slow. The bar staff seemed more interested in playing around with each other than actually serving drinks - our wine arrived quite late and only after we had to ask for it a second time. The food itself was average: nothing special, but okay for a lunch. Unfortunately, the coffee was a major disappointment for a restaurant in Italy and did not taste like standard Italian coffee at all. Most probably the portafilter was not cleaned sufficiently between servings, resulting in an acidic and bitter cup that was poor in quality. The espresso machine is clearly capable of much more if the staff took proper care of it. This clearly needs better attention. Overall ok but improvements needed. Rating Determination & Justification. Assigned Rating: 2/5 (Not Good / Poor). Justification: While the free parking is convenient and the food is passable (average/ok), the overall experience is dragged down by persistent service and quality lapses. Slow order progress despite a half-empty dining room points to poor organization, and inattentive bar staff playing around instead of serving drinks is unprofessional. Crucially, failing on a staple of Italian cultureāthe coffeeādue to a dirty portafilter resulting in an acidic, bitter cup shows a lack of basic kitchen hygiene and quality control that is hard to overlook.
