The main highlight of this hotel is definitely the view. The lake and mountain scenery from the balcony is beautiful and probably the best thing about the property. The staff were also very kind and friendly, especially the reception staff. The breakfast was very good and one of the other positive aspects of my stay. However, there are several things that need improvement. One major issue is the lack of staff. It seems that one person is responsible for almost everything — working at reception and then also serving guests in the breakfast area. The staff were doing their best and were very kind, but the hotel clearly needs more people. The room itself was reasonably spacious, but the furniture is quite old and the room needs some updating. Another significant problem was the large number of mosquitoes and other insects. If you open the balcony door and forget to close it, the room can quickly fill with insects. This is particularly problematic because the hotel does not have air conditioning. In a hotel without AC, there should at least be proper insect screens on the balcony doors/windows. During summer, guests need to open the windows for fresh air, but without screens, they are essentially inviting mosquitoes and other insects into the room. Even in early October, the daytime temperature was warm enough that sleeping with the windows closed was uncomfortable. The balcony itself is very nice because of the beautiful view, but the insects unfortunately make it difficult to fully enjoy it. Finally, considering the price, I found the hotel quite expensive for what it offers. I understand that it is a three-star hotel, but at this price I expected better room conditions and facilities. Overall: The view and breakfast are excellent, and the staff are genuinely friendly. But apart from those points, I don’t feel the hotel offers particularly good value for money. In my opinion, they are mainly selling the view, rather than providing a high-quality hotel experience. I wouldn’t particularly recommend it at this price. However, if you don’t have many other options and the view is important to you, it can still be worth considering

I attended a wonderful wedding at Panorama Hotel Restaurant Schönbühl as a guest. The hall was beautifully decorated – every detail felt intentional, from the elegant tables and floral arrangements to the natural lighting that created a magical atmosphere. The staff were always friendly and attentive, making sure every guest enjoyed the celebration. The food was spectacular, with delicious and beautifully presented dishes. The atmosphere was perfect for relaxed conversations during dinner and lively dancing afterward. Plus, the natural surroundings and sweeping views gave the celebration an extra special touch. Without a doubt, I recommend this venue for any wedding or special event. I left absolutely delighted, with unforgettable memories from the day.
