I can not agree more with Tan's review. This place put ridiculous amount of salt into the food. We got one beef and soup. Both are very salty and hurt my stomach. The more ridiculous thing is they got 4.6 rating despite they almost got me salt poisoned. The wait time is extremely long. It took them more than 40 minutes to bring food on the table and there weren't too many customers there. Besides, I have to shoo away flies from time to time. Critical hygiene problem. Worst experience in Interlaken. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CHF 20–30

I visited Sri Manee Isaan Thai House in Interlaken Saturday evening with my family. Due to a major traffic accident, the road from Interlaken West was closed, so we decided to spent time in Interlaken spontaneously for dinner. When we arrived with a stroller, we were greeted by a staff member who asked if we had a reservation. We said no, as we came in spontaneously. We felt unwelcome from the start, as she gave us a rather skeptical look. Instead of assisting us, she addressed other guests behind us and seated them first, which did not feel very professional. Eventually, we were given a table that seemed to be reserved, as the actual guests had not yet arrived. It also took quite a long time before someone came to take our order. Another inconvenience was the restroom situation: you have to ask for a key, leave the restaurant, and enter a residential building to access the toilet, which is quite impractical. We ordered Pad Ga Pao and were asked about the spice level. Although we can handle spicy food, we chose “medium.” However, the dish was extremely spicy—so much so that my mother-in-law could not eat it, and the rest of us struggled as well. Unfortunately, it was not enjoyable at all. My fried rice with chicken was very oily and lacked the typical wok hay flavor that one would expect. Another downside is that the restaurant does not provide baby chairs and is not particularly child-friendly. Based on our experience, we would not recommend visiting with a baby. Overall, we did not feel comfortable and will not return. On a positive note, we did receive hot water for our baby upon request, which we appreciated. Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CHF 30–40 Kid-friendliness: Not ideal for families with babies due to lack of baby seating.
