Siamo capitati in questo ristorante per caso, poco prima di prendere il treno, e siamo rimasti piacevolmente sorpresi! Il personale è stato davvero accogliente e gentile, ci hanno fatto sentire subito a nostro agio. Il cibo, soprattutto il pesce, era ottimo: fresco, ben cucinato e presentato con cura. Ristorante Roma sits right on the Grand Canal with a clear view of the Ponte Degli Scalzi and the Church of San Simone Piccolo. They offer seating inside and outside. We chose a table by the water because the setting was perfect with some sun and a light breeze. Their menu has plenty of choices. Since it was our first meal after reaching Venice, we went with our usual lunch picks of pizza and beer. Here is what we ordered with our ratings: Margherita Pizza: 5 out of 5. Calabrese Pizza: 5 out of 5. Birra Moretti: 5 out of 5 The Margherita deserves a special note. It was one of the best we have had. We have tried versions in Switzerland and Milan, but this one stood out for its rich flavor. The Calabrese was new for us and it left a strong impression as well. We liked it so much that we went back again for dinner. We ordered the Margherita Pizza again along with Ravioli Spinaci and Tiramisu. Both new dishes were excellent. Ravioli Spinaci gets 5 out of 5 and Tiramisu gets 5 out of 5. This ended up being our last dinner in Venice for this trip and it felt like a happy goodbye. The staff was warm and attentive, the service was smooth and we would gladly recommend this place.
