Siamo stati qui con la famiglia per festeggiare il compleanno di mio figlio. Il personale è eccellente e molto amichevole. Il cibo è squisito e... per chi ama la buona cucina italiana, è un posto fantastico. Ci tengo a sottolineare la gentilezza e la simpatia dei camerieri; grazie mille per averci fatto sentire come a casa. Ci rivedremo sicuramente ----- Wir waren mit der Familie hier, um den Geburtstag meines Sohnes bei einem Mittagessen zu feiern. Der Service ist exzellent und sehr freundlich. Das Essen ist exquisit und... für alle, die die gute italienische Küche lieben, ist dies ein großartiger Ort. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich die herzliche und freundliche Art der Kellner. Vielen Dank, dass wir uns wie zu Hause fühlen durften. Wir sehen uns wieder!

Un pranzo a spiez.....siamo entrati al ristorante, tutto profuma di ITALIA, ci sono vespe da collezione......in esposizione interna al ristorante. Il servizio ineccepibile, il pranzo era ottimo ed abbondante, il prezzo giusto per LA zona. Consigliato né vale veramente LA pena visto LA posizione diretta sul lago......

Absolutely appalling. This was, without question, one of the worst restaurant experiences of my life. From the moment we arrived, my sister was holding a bottle of water in her hand. The manager himself welcomed us, seated us, looked directly at the bottle, and said absolutely nothing. If bringing outside water was against the restaurant’s policy, why weren’t we told at the entrance? Instead, they waited until we were already eating. The bottle was untouched, sitting on the floor beside our table, when a waiter suddenly stormed over and shouted across the restaurant, “Ladies! Ladies! It’s not a picnic here!” while pointing at the bottle. The entire restaurant looked at us. We were publicly humiliated over an unopened bottle of water that nobody had mentioned before. It was degrading, unnecessary, and incredibly unprofessional. As if that wasn’t enough, the manager then came over—not to apologize for the waiter’s outrageous behavior—but to lecture us, saying, and I quote, “In Switzerland you’re not allowed to bring water into a restaurant.” First of all, that is not how you speak to paying customers. Second, if that was truly the rule, why did the very same manager seat us while my sister was visibly holding the bottle and never say a single word? Instead of handling the situation politely and discreetly, they chose to embarrass us in front of an entire dining room. The way we were treated made us feel singled out, unwelcome, and discriminated against. Whether it was because of who we are or simply a complete lack of respect, no customer deserves to be spoken to in such a humiliating manner. The food instantly became irrelevant because the service was so shockingly awful. I’ve never experienced such arrogance, disrespect, and lack of basic human decency in a restaurant. There are countless places in Switzerland where customers are treated with kindness and professionalism. Riviera by Elio is not one of them. If management believes publicly shaming guests over an untouched bottle of water is acceptable hospitality, they have fundamentally misunderstood what customer service is. I will never return, and I strongly encourage anyone who values respect and dignity to spend their money elsewhere.
