Oramai quando mi reco a Pescara è tappa fissa. Bocconotti, mostaccioli, cornetti speciali e naturalmente gli immancabili Parrozzi già confezionati. Gestori professionali e alla mano. Il meglio a Pescara e dintorni.

Ogni domenica mattina, dopo la messa, è ormai prassi del nostro gruppetto di irriducibili peccatori, di venire qui a fare colazione. Caffè (eccellente!) e paste (eccezionali!) sono diventati una costante nel tempo. Per non parlare poi della gentilezza del personale! Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo dei prodotti pasticcieri proposti. Un plauso, insomma!

I've known this pastry bar for decades, since I lived in Pescara and now unfortunately I can only go to it when I'm on holiday. I am a proud direct witness of its long history, having organized my first communion party right here, with a sumptuous menu greatly appreciated by all the guests. Over time, obviously the management has changed but the Ritrovo del Parrozzo is always in the hands of people equally worthy of passing on the confectionery tradition of Abruzzo, with passion and dedication. It is a place that has not succumbed to modernity (an indisputable obsession for a city like Pescara, which has never wanted to valorise its past too much) and can be considered a true oasis of nostalgic and precious memories. It is no coincidence that this place has been officially recognized as a "Historical Place" for a few years and has become a real museum: in addition to a decor with a prevalence of wooden furniture and deliberately retro furnishings, an exhibition of photos of period and other finds on the mezzanine floor, which are worth stopping to observe. As the name itself suggests, this pastry shop specializes in the production of Parrozzo, a delicious Pescara dessert (whose qualities were also celebrated by the poet D'Annunzio) created by Luigi D'Amico, and also other local delicacies, such as mostaccioli , the Senzanome, the bocconotti and several others. No less important is the authorized resale of the famous Aurum, a tasty typical orange liqueur, of which various collectible bottles, including very dated ones, are also on display. It is always a great pleasure to stop at Ritrovo del Parrozzo, and taste its specialties, in a friendly atmosphere that always leaves a beautiful memory.
