One of our favorite restaurants on our 14 day trip from Naples to Bari. Everything from appetizers to dessert are just so delicious. The owners are so friendly - always smiling! the restaurant itself is beautiful! wish I could go back often! But, if we are ever in that area again, we know where to dine!
We have just eaten at ristorante TreArchi Di Castro Giuseppe. In summary a great meal but! ...........the positive side: Great staff. Wonderful antipasti. We did not have the primi but there was a young lady making fresh orrechette as a sort of performance piece. I am sure that the primi are of fine quality. The Antipasti were excellent being almost entirely vegetarian. Beautifully cooked and presented. The only disappointment were the "secundi" the meat was dry and of not very good quality. We made the decision to avoid meat altogether in future. Other positive aspects were that I asked the waiter to ask the chef not to salt the meat and it did arrive at the table unsalted. I was delighted. In short, - excellent service. As an aside and as someone who has eaten meat all my life in Italy. Meat tends to be over~salted and as a result, almost inedible. With current trends in fine cuisine it is important not to salt food ....appalling for the blood pressure and health in general. You can always add the salt if you wish in the same way that in Italy "why should someone dress a salad for you? Why should someone salt my food? In summary for Le Tre Archi - complimenti - i would recommend anyone who visits Altamura to eat at Tre Archi. When I return I shall however, be a vegetarian most definitely.
