My husband and I had the most wonderful stay at Pensieri di Cavatina during a recent visit to Tuscany. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the exceptional service from the entire staff and the stunning location. Nestled in the heart of the Tuscan countryside, about 15 minutes outside of Siena, the resort strikes the perfect balance between modern luxury and authentic charm. The design of the resort is beautiful and new, yet it retains the traditional Tuscan aesthetic, making us feel immediately at home. Our room was spacious, elegantly decorated, and offered breathtaking views of the surrounding vineyards and rolling hills. One of the highlights of our stay was the restaurant - I’ll start by saying that we’re from San Francisco, so we can be very picky about restaurants. The culinary experience was nothing short of extraordinary. The chef uses traditional Tuscan ingredients but elevates each dish with a contemporary twist. Every meal we had was a delightful journey of flavors, blending authenticity with innovation. We ended up eating at the restaurant two nights in a row and when my husband requested a vegetarian dish for the second night, the chef went to the market that day and created a special dish for him that wasn’t on the menu - it was very special. We were also thrilled to discover that the resort produces its own wine. We took part in a wine tasting session hosted by Greta (who is the best!), which was both educational and enjoyable. The opportunity to learn about the wine-making process and taste the exquisite wines produced on-site was a truly memorable experience. Overall, Pensieri di Cavatina exceeded all our expectations. Pensieri di Cavatina was a great discovery. It is a new business, it opened in 2021, it is an oasis of peace in a renovated farmhouse with refined details. The booking also included a tasting of the wines they produce, not to be missed! We stayed 2 nights during our road-trip through Tuscany. The location of Pensieri di Cavatina is perfect to visit Siena or a trip to Montepulciano and Pienza. The whole staff was so helpful, friendly and fun during our check-in/check-out, at the breakfast and dinner. We felt very welcome during our stay. The whole property is modern, stylish and clean.
