We visited Ristorante Olivo while passing through Horgen on vacation. Upon entering, the restaurant was virtually empty. We were asked if we had reservations. After answering no in English, it was obvious we were not welcome there. We were eventually sat and began looking over the menus. The waiter, perhaps the rudest server we've ever experienced, was a Mediterrean looking man that approached within 2 minutes of being sat to ask if we ready to order. We were not. Sixty seconds later, he returned to stand 5 feet from our table, pad in hand, and stare us down as we continued reading the menu. Feeling pressured, we ordered drinks and food. We received our drinks from another waiter. Once the food arrived, my wife and I agreed it was average at best for Italian food. At no point were we ever asked by any server if the food was to our liking or if we wanted refills on water or wine. After finishing, we sat for an eternity waiting for our waiter to bring our check. Upon being flagged down, he brought the check, ran our card, and walked off without speaking a word to either my wife or I. Avoid this restaurant in Horgen due to its extremely poor service and average food. Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3
