Eastern Europeans aren’t welcome! I’m aware it’s a harsh statement, but following our visit in July 2022, I sincerely do not recommend it. We booked a full day at the pool and were only given chairs. The pool administrator ignored us and then rudely shouted about our seating. Despite the initial unavailability of sun beds, they were suddenly offered after we complained, showing a lack of organisation and respect. We then bought beers; due to how weather, some warmed up. We went into the bar to buy some more. The owner (as I later understood, is the son of the owner) rudely demanded we wear T-shirts inside the bar, making us feel unwelcome and quite frankly, shocked, as it felt it came from nowhere. I must point out that other guests (ie, locals) when entering to buy snacks, drinks etc, were also not wearing T-shirts - no abusive or intimidating comments were made towards them. We were struck by the unfounded behaviour, as I clearly remember the malice in his eyes when looking at me. I tried addressing his hostile approach, asking if he was the owner, to which he responded “I don’t know”. Following the conversation, he’s shown no attempt at apologising, but rather maintained an unpleasant stance toward us. Before I left, I said I’ll leave a review, to which he responded “if you do that, you’re not coming back”. At this stage, I took a photo of him, and he started following me. Therefore, attempts to discuss this were met with mockery and threats. The owner's father apologised but kept our money for the unused sun beds, displaying poor business ethics. Our experience was unwelcoming and felt racially charged. When I leave a review, I try to contain myself, but I can’t be idle on this one. I thought about it many times, I couldn’t understand why our presence had generated such a hostile approach on the part of the owner, as we had not given him any reason to treat us this way. For some people that dealt with prior discrimination, this review will impact perhaps more; that isn’t my intention, but the owners have a thinly veiled discontent for some “people”. I thought everyone is equal, but discrimination isn’t over. Aside the whole experience, the owner’s eyes did not lie. Avoid this hotel if you value respectful, and genuine hospitality. Service: 1
