Tajer
Tajer is a Kajkavian word for “plate”.
That’s the official meaning. To us, however, it has a completely different significance.
Tajer (plate) is a thing that is small yet important. For as long as we can remember, people have gathered and spent time around a table with a plate full of food on it, but it’s the family and the people who connect everything in such situations. For us, the family is indeed at the heart of it all and our explanation for the name “Tajer”.
At Tajer, we’ll offer you dishes that have been somewhat forgotten, dishes once prepared by our mothers and grandmothers, dishes that we ate as children, dishes our children, friends and acquaintances began to love and we believe you’ll love them, too. They are prepared in a traditional way, the only way our elders taught us.
