Totally worth it, we walked over an hour of freezing rain in the middle of winter to end up in this café/restaurant and I would walk an hour more. Had the pork feet braised in Madeira wine and a Vaudois sausage both served with potato gratin and a bacon salad, with a side of red wine. (Peid de porc à la sauce Madère et saucisson vaudois, gratin, et du vin rouge) These were eaten with gusto. The massive cherry on top, the portions were generous, and we had to take it away with a box. Aside from good food, the wait staff, the owner, even the other customers (can I give them a score too?), all contributed to an incredible ambiance, friendly vibes in an antique and homely style. Altogether, this place is totally worth taking a detour from the usual Lausanne haunts, into the lovely old town of La Sarraz. Take the R3/4, there is a train every half hour, no excuse! Here is now a menu I have to eat my way through. Well done! (To other tourists, you'll need to speak some french.) Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
