This is a smaller guesthouse type hotel that has been well cared for. The room was clean and functional. While it is small by US standards it is very in keeping with what I have experienced throughout most of Europe, so set your expectations accordingly if you plan a visit. I booked directly through the hotel and the entire process was very easy and “English” friendly. Other reviews indicated some confusion about if breakfast is included but I found it was clearly stated that breakfast and visitor tax was to be paid at checkout. The breakfast was of excellent quality and variety. Unfortunately the kitchen was closed for dinner during my stay due to a remodeling. I would have really liked to try the dinner there. This matter was clearly communicated before my arrival and there was a great place close by the was recommended by the staff. The train station is an easy 5 min stroll for those without a car. I definitely will be coming back on my next Andermatt trip! Service: 5

I booked through Booking for one night with breakfast and paid, before checking out I was told that I had to pay 33 francs for breakfast and tourist tax. Why this is not included and not indicated and accordingly I still have to pay is a secret for me. There was also no warning that the hotel would still have to pay because the payment was all in full. In general, the hotel is not bad. Clean, there is parking for cars and good views from the window) Service: 4
