From Bregenz to Laufenburg – and I discovered a little surprise along the way! Probstei is one of the few places in Laufenburg where you can still find a lovely spot to relax and eat in the afternoon. It is open daily from 11:30 am to 9:00 pm, and until 10:00 pm on weekends. If you feel like taking a little walk afterwards, you can reach the Rhine River in just 2 minutes, and in about 5 minutes on foot, you are already in Laufenburg on the German side. But the real surprise for me was the food! They have wonderful homemade köfte and fantastic spinach falafel. I especially loved the combination of Swiss and Turkish cuisine – two different culinary traditions coming together so naturally and creating a unique and memorable taste. I also really enjoyed the coffee from Ticino. In one word: I loved it! And then there is a very special mirror – “The Probstei Mirror.” The mirror was bought at an antique market in Italy, and for me, it is one of the most charming details of the place. I can easily imagine many visitors wanting to take a photo in front of it. A wonderful blend of Swiss and Turkish flavours, a special atmosphere, and a little surprise I never expected to find in Laufenburg. Definitely worth a visit!
