Food was by far the best Thai I've had, the spring rolls are a must. The owners are super friendly and the grandma that cooks the food even came to say hello to us and our dog. Super kind people who make delicious food and make you feel super welcome. Will definitely be coming here from now on. We arrived at Mae Lek on a Monday evening without a reservation and were fortunate to take the last available table! The food was all delicious, portion sizes extremely generous and the service was fantastic. My husband ordered the red curry and was given a taster to make sure the spice level was ok for him, this felt like a very thoughtful touch. The service was also exceptional; the team made a great effort to talk to each table personally and aimed to make every customer feel special. Ekk really goes the extra mile, and gave recommendations to us and other tables visiting Thun for things to see and do. The personal touch and attentiveness really puts the cherry on top with this lovely family run restaurant. Highly recommended for delicious Thai food and brilliant service!
