Great option if you’d like to save up on accommodation in Split. Located nearby beautiful beaches, 20 min walk to the centre. Great and affordable meals in the student canteen.

The rooms are not terrible, let's say that for a short stay it is feasible to sleep in them. There is neither air conditioning nor a fan, but this is already said by the hostel itself. I think the general problem of the place is the total lack of cleanliness, more so in the rooms themselves and in the general environment, in particular in the breakfast room. The choice of food was very limited and always the same, and the quality was terrible, bordering on decency I would say, except for the croissants which were quite good. But with cooks coughing loudly on the food and hostel guests walking around barefoot, enjoying breakfast was a challenge. If you don't get breakfast included before arriving, you have to pay around €5 per person each time you want to consume it exclusively with paper money (another flaw of the place, but actually of the entire country). Once we asked to borrow some spoons to eat salads ordered in our room from Glovo, and we were given cutlery totally dirty with food. Some of the staff were kind and fluent in English, but someone else, as well as many other local people, were rude and disrespectful towards a polite and patient group of kids. Location: 1
