The guest is not king here and is not right either. First of all, in the last three years I have often been here alone, with family or friends and have actually been happy so far. WAS. The last two times I arrived on a Saturday evening shortly before 9:00 p.m. and was left waiting at the counter with "you'd have to take a look or you'd have to ask" when I was asked if I could eat something. I'm not a complicated guest, I actually already know what I want to eat when I go to a certain restaurant (here it was always the Cordonbleu Hawaii) and I only change things up a bit when it comes to dessert. On what was definitely my last visit, I also ordered a Cordonbleu Hawaii and asked a few things about the salad and drinks, which apparently threw the waitress out of the concept/annoyed me. After I cut off about the third piece, a slice of tomato (I don't like tomatoes) appeared and I thought to myself "weird, that's something different than Hawaii..." After a friendly wave for the third or fourth time, the waitress came to the table and asked what was going on. When I asked what kind of cordon bleu was with tomato in it, I had hardly ordered a Hawaiian, just the answer. That's exactly what I ordered. After all, she would have also written down Valais Cordonbleu. My friendly comment that I had never ordered anything other than Cordon Bleu Hawaii here and that tomatoes and other stuff wouldn't work at all was only answered again that she had written it down like that. Point. End. A further attempt on my part to say that I would never order this was not even addressed. SHE WROTE IT DOWN LIKE THAT. No suggestion. No accommodation. Nothing. Not even the slightest possibility of doubt as to whether you may have misunderstood something AND then wrote it down incorrectly. After another wordless exchange of glances lasting several seconds, I said that I wanted to pay. They were immediately there with the card reader, let me pay the full amount and wished me “Have a nice evening anyway” when I left the cola and a plate that was more than 3/4 full. This CHF 43.50 is the last that you have taken from me and my family. Just like the Titanic, full steam ahead into the iceberg, no approach, full of confrontation. This is not how you treat guests (especially the friendly ones). 12/29/2024 RESPONSE TO OWNER'S REACTION Your perception of good service is obviously completely different. YOU must have forgotten what that means. But let's stick to the facts. I had cut off three pieces of Cordonbleu until some of the specific filling came to light. There can be no question of eating half of it, just to stick to the truth. Incidentally, the two people from the next table left the restaurant almost at the same time. It would be interesting to know how and where a dialogue should have taken place (apart from the fact that you are suggesting that you are gossiping about other guests behind their backs... would be a big no-go). However, your reaction reflects the behavior of the waitress on that evening, and probably on many other evenings if you read the reviews. So you should perhaps make a few adjustments at the personnel level and perhaps aim for a team seminar with a focus on customer and social skills. That would help customer satisfaction more in the long run than responding to criticism with untruths. Service: 1

The guest is king as long as he behaves like a king. And you forgot that. Eat half a cordon bleu and then claim we did it wrong? And then expect a new cordon bleu? Two for one price. We know the game. Even the table next door confirmed that …The guest is king as long as he behaves like a king. And you forgot that. Eat half a cordon bleu and then claim we did it wrong? And then expect a new cordon bleu? Two for one price. We know the game. Even the table next door confirmed that you ordered Valais. UPDATE 1/11/25 The two neighboring tables only left after you, so communication was completely normal. No reading... And if you think you can do it better then you should start your own business and then we'll talk about it again. More
