Abbiamo pranzato benissimo nel dehor sotto le fronde. L'ambiente ĆØ elegante e raffinato ma non impegnativo; la sosta ĆØ gradevolissima e rilassante. La scelta dei piatti non ĆØ molto vasta, ma c'ĆØ comunque una buona varietĆ (insalate hamburger portate principali a base di pesce e carne, contorni e dolci). Soprattutto, i piatti sono presentati in modo superbo e le porzioni sono adeguate. Servizio rapido e prezzi in linea, lo consiglio.

Casino Bern has a way of making you feel like the evening already decided to be good before you've even ordered anything. The architecture does a lot of the work. High ceilings, polished interiors, that particular kind of historic grandeur that only old buildings can pull off without it feeling like a costume. It's the kind of room where you instinctively sit up a little straighter, but not in a way that makes you uncomfortable. It manages to feel special without making you feel like you don't belong there, which is a balance a lot of places in that category get wrong. The service matched the setting without the usual upscale stiffness. Friendly, quick, no unnecessary theatre. It just worked. The Parmesan risotto was the kind of dish that reminds you what risotto is actually supposed to taste like. Properly creamy, well-balanced, clearly made with some actual attention rather than being a menu placeholder for people who can't decide. Deserves credit for that. Dessert was a hazelnut-bergamot combination that had enough refinement to feel like a genuine finish rather than an afterthought. The bergamot kept it from being just another sweet thing at the end. Subtle but interesting. Casino Bern is one of those rare spots where the atmosphere and the kitchen are genuinely pulling in the same direction. The setting could easily carry a mediocre meal and most people would probably still leave happy. The fact that the food stands on its own too makes it worth the visit for more than just the room.
